GemGrade was created by Gem Card Show LLC, a Michigan-based sports card business built from a lifelong passion for the hobby.

Our founder has been an active collector since 1981. After decades of buying, selling, studying, and grading cards, one challenge kept coming up: collectors often have to decide whether a card is worth purchasing or submitting without an affordable second opinion.

GemGrade was built to help solve that problem.

What Is GemGrade?

GemGrade is an AI-powered pre-grade estimation tool for collectible trading cards.

Using clear front and back images, GemGrade evaluates important areas of a card’s condition, including:

  • Centering
  • Corners
  • Edges
  • Surface
  • Eye appeal
  • The primary factor limiting the card’s grade

GemGrade then provides an estimated grade range and condition analysis to help collectors make more informed decisions.

GemGrade is a pre-grade estimation and educational tool. It is not a professional grading company, and its results are not guaranteed to match the final grade assigned by PSA, SGC, Beckett, CGC, or any other grading service.

Final grades are determined solely by the professional grading company after physically examining the card.
