GemGrade Submitted to Apple and Google Play: A Major Step Forward

Today marks an important milestone for GemGrade.

The GemGrade mobile app has officially been submitted for review to both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Getting to this point required months of building, testing, refining, and solving one challenge after another. Now, GemGrade is one major step closer to helping collectors make smarter grading decisions directly from their phones.

Know Before You Grade

Submitting a sports card for professional grading is a financial decision. Between grading fees, shipping costs, insurance, and turnaround times, collectors can invest a significant amount of money before knowing whether a card has a realistic chance of earning the grade they expect.

GemGrade was created to give collectors more information before making that decision.

Using clear images of the front and back of a card, GemGrade analyzes important grading factors such as:

• Corners

• Edges

• Surface

• Centering

• Eye appeal

• The card’s primary grade limiter

Collectors then receive an AI-powered pre-grade estimate designed to help them decide whether a card may be worth purchasing, submitting, holding, or selling.

GemGrade does not replace professional grading. It provides an additional tool collectors can use before paying professional grading fees.

Two Ways to Evaluate a Card

GemGrade includes two evaluation modes for different collecting situations.

Scout Mode is designed for quick buying decisions. It can help collectors evaluate cards at shows, shops, flea markets, and other places where speed matters.

Pro Mode provides a more detailed evaluation for cards already in your collection or cards you are seriously considering submitting for professional grading.

Whether you are searching through dollar boxes, evaluating a major vintage purchase, or reviewing your own collection, the goal remains the same:

GemGrade was developed from decades of experience in the sports-card hobby. Its founder has been an active collector since 1981 and understands the excitement, uncertainty, and expense involved in professional card grading.

That experience continues to guide the development of GemGrade.

We regularly test and refine the platform by scanning cards before submitting them to professional grading companies, including PSA, SGC, and Beckett. When those cards return, we compare the professional results with GemGrade’s original estimates.

These real-world comparisons help us identify opportunities to improve the system and provide collectors with increasingly useful information.

GemGrade will continue evolving as we scan more cards, study more grading results, and learn from the hobby.

What Happens Next?

Apple and Google will now review the GemGrade app for their respective stores.

The review process can take time, and either company may request additional information or changes before approving the app. We will share another update as soon as GemGrade is approved and available for download.

This submission is not the finish line. It is the beginning of the next stage.
