GemGrade Has Been Submitted to the Apple App Store

Today marks a major milestone for GemGrade: GemGrade iOS 1.0 has officially been submitted to Apple for App Store review.

The app is not publicly available on the App Store yet. Apple must complete its review first—but the production build has been created, signed, uploaded, processed, and submitted.

A Better Pre-Grading Decision

GemGrade was built around a practical question collectors face every day:

Is this card worth sending to a professional grading company?

Professional grading can increase a card’s value, but submission fees, shipping costs, turnaround times, and uncertain results make every submission a decision.

GemGrade helps collectors make that decision with a simple front-and-back photography workflow. Its AI-powered analysis evaluates:

• Centering

• Corners

• Edges

• Surface condition

• Eye appeal

• Likely grade range

• Analysis confidence

The goal is not to replace PSA, SGC, Beckett, or another professional grader. GemGrade is a pre-grade estimator designed to help collectors decide which cards deserve closer attention and which may be worth submitting.

Scout and Pro Analysis

GemGrade offers two levels of analysis:

Scout — 1 Credit

Scout provides a faster initial assessment to help identify cards that may be worth grading.

Pro — 2 Credits

Pro provides a more detailed condition analysis, including explanations and a likely grade range.

This two-step approach gives collectors the flexibility to quickly review more cards and reserve deeper analysis for their strongest candidates.

Built for Collectors

GemGrade was created by collectors with roots in the hobby dating back to 1981.

That experience shaped the product around the real needs of the hobby: straightforward photography, understandable results, honest limitations, and useful information before money is committed to professional grading.

We are continuing to test and refine GemGrade by comparing its pre-grade estimates against cards returned from PSA, SGC, Beckett, and other grading companies.

Accuracy must be demonstrated through evidence—not feature counts or impressive-sounding marketing claims.

What Happens Next?

GemGrade is currently Waiting for Review with Apple.

Once Apple completes its review, we will share the outcome and provide App Store download information when the app becomes available.

Development also continues beyond this submission. The next major objective is completing the Google Play release while continuing to improve GemGrade’s grading analysis and collector experience.
